Call for Nominations for NEHA’s Board of Directors
NEHA is governed by a corporate board of directors that oversees the affairs of the association. There will be four board positions up for election in 2019: Region 4, 6, and 9 vice-president positions and one national officer position (second vice-president). We seek diversity on the board in terms of gender, ethnicity, and a balance between regulatory, academia, and industry professionals. Deadline to submit an online nomination form is December 1.
Professional Food Safety Auditor Training
A 2-day training for NEHA’s Professional Food Safety Auditor Credential program is being held November 12–13 at the Food Safety Summit in Chicago, IL. The training will provide participants with a comprehensive review of good auditing practices, written and verbal communication skills, and technical knowledge of preventive controls. Act now as early-bird registration ends October 26.
One Health Day Is November 3
The goal of One Health Day is to create worldwide attention for One Health interactions. The One Health Day campaign is designed to engage as many individuals as possible in One Health education and awareness events and to generate an inspiring array of projects.
Food Safety and Regulatory Lead at Instacart , San Francisco, CA
As Instacart’s Food Safety and Regulatory Lead, you’ll work closely with Instacart’s operations, support, business development, product and engineering and legal teams to build the processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant food safety and other regulations and a great customer experience. You will help create industry standards for food safety in the grocery delivery space through the development of scalable operational processes and improvements within our services. You’ll also be responsible for researching relevant legal requirements to ensure company practices are in compliance in the United States and Canada, as well as future international markets.
